Well, the tour continues and the sights are more and more impressive. Jack and Joanne certainly know how to meet and greet in this great country.

In this update, you’ll see homes that look like dolls’ houses, long winding roads, and the eager faces of youth!

North Carolina

Outer Banks, N. Carolina. Cape Hatteras is a strip of sand way out in the Atlantic. All the homes are built up on stilts to allow water to flow under them in a hurricane.

Ocracoke was a charming place. I’ve never see the fishing rigs these guys have on their bumpers, they are everywhere!

More sport boats than I even imagined. Carolinas are cool.

Sharing the vision

What the School Said:

Our Middle and Upper School students had the pleasure of hearing Captain Jack Molan speak in chapel.

Captain Molan commanded the vessels Aleutian Ballad and Cornelia Marie, which you may know from “Deadliest Catch.”

We were honored to have him talk to our students about his book, “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up.”

He shared about life and the dangerous world he lived in on the Bering Sea. It was an interesting and exciting experience for all!
